Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you use the site. Cookies are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and provide information to website owners.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly Necessary
These are required for the site to work and to keep it secure. They are set without asking you first, because the site cannot be delivered safely without them. They include our hosting provider's bot-protection and security cookies, and the record of the cookie choice you make on this site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they move through the site. These cookies are only set after you accept. To be clear, this is not anonymous data: Google Analytics assigns your browser a random identifier and stores it in a cookie so it can recognise the same browser across visits, and it also processes your IP address. It is not linked to your name unless you separately give us your details.
Advertising
We run a Google Tag Manager container which we may use to measure the performance of advertising campaigns. Any advertising cookies are only set after you accept.
Until you make a choice, Google's tags run in a consent-denied mode: they load, but they do not write cookies and do not read any existing ones. If you reject, they stay in that mode.
3. Cookies We Use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _cf_bm | Cloudflare | Distinguishes humans from bots. Strictly necessary. | 30 minutes |
| __cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Records that a security challenge has been passed. Strictly necessary. | 30 minutes |
| tit_consent_v1 | Turbo IT | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies, so we do not ask again. Strictly necessary. Stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie. | Until cleared |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Assigns a random identifier to your browser so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor. Only set if you accept. | 2 years |
| _ga_Y1K3SP0R6S | Google Analytics | Holds the session state for our specific Analytics property. Only set if you accept. | 2 years |
Two notes on accuracy. First, our site theme is stored in your browser's local storage by the theme library we use, not in a cookie, so it never leaves your device. Second, if you complete a checkout we write a short-lived marker to your browser's session storage so a single purchase is not reported twice; it is deleted when you close the tab.
Our Google Tag Manager container may be configured with additional advertising or measurement tags over time. Any such tag is bound by the same rule: it can only set cookies once you have accepted.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Our website may include content from third parties (such as embedded videos or social media widgets) that may set their own cookies. We have no control over these cookies. Please refer to the relevant third party's website for more information about their cookies.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in various ways:
- Change your choice on this site: select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to reopen the banner and accept or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting takes effect immediately for future page loads; any cookies already set can be cleared in your browser.
- Browser settings:Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. The method varies between browsers, so check your browser's help section.
- Opt-out tools: Some analytics providers offer opt-out tools. For example, you can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Please note that blocking certain cookies may impact your experience on our website.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
