Affiliate Dashboard (Customer View)

This is the customer-facing side of your affiliate scheme: what the person sharing your link actually sees and does. For the operator-side setup, see Affiliate Setup.

Where customers find their referral link

Every signed-in customer has an affiliate dashboard at /account/affiliate. It shows:

• Their unique referral link with a Copy button. The link encodes their referral code as a ?ref= query parameter. When clicked, we drop a 30-day first-party cookie.
• Their share-message presets (pre-written social messages with the link inlined). They can copy these straight into WhatsApp or Instagram DMs.
• Their stats: referred customers (count), paid orders attributed, rewards earned (in site credit), pending rewards (in the 14-day cooling period).
• Recent activity feed, showing anonymised “your link earned £2 on 14 May” entries.

How rewards become spendable

1. A new customer clicks the referral link. We drop a cookie.
2. They place a paid order within 30 days. The order is attributed to the referrer.
3. 14 days later (your configurable payout delay), the reward is credited to the referrer’s site-credit wallet automatically.
4. The referrer spends the credit at checkout on any competition, like any other site credit.

Customers see pending vs available credit separately so the 14-day delay isn’t a black box.

Customer questions that come up

• “My friend bought a ticket but my reward didn’t show up”Most often the friend clicked the link from a private/incognito tab or a different device where the cookie didn’t persist. Less often: 14-day cooling not elapsed; under £5 spend threshold; same-IP fraud block.
• “Can I share the link as an influencer?” Yes, but for high-volume sharers we’d issue a dedicated partner code rather than personal referral links. Contact us.
• “Why is my reward in credit and not cash?” By policy, all rewards are site credit. They spend on competitions; they don’t withdraw.
